Club Information

It all started in 2015 with Jesse Perkins of Colorado USA who was a pilot with the famous Big Whoop drone racing team. Jesse took a standard micro drone and added a tiny camera to create the worlds smallest FPV drone, he named his creation "Tiny Whoop".

Tiny Whoops were an instant hit with a growing community of over 30,000 pilots around the world today. The term "Whoop" has become the generic term for all FPV capable micro drones with many different types, sizes and brands available today.

Now there is Tiny Whoop UK part of the growing Tiny Whoop Club Network around the world. Here you can find clubs local to you, Find events and competitions and join with us on this tiny adventure.

TinyWhoop UK Newsletter 25-Aug-2020   Andrew Walker
Hello Pilots! Here at TinyWhoop UK we have a new addition to the team, and that is me (MrLazyLegs). So I would first like to say I hope you, and your family and friends, are doing well in these uncertain times. Of course we cannot change the direction of what is to come through the Winter Season. But, what we can do involves competition, fun, and a huge amount of LOL's. We are about to finish the UK Open Summer League with the last event this Friday (28th August). It has had some issues and we, at TWUKHQ have learn't a huge amount with what works, and what has failed. The learning curve has come with challenges, no doubt, but it has given us the opportunity to plan for much better events moving forward. To that end, we would like all of your input by asking you to kindly complete a 15 question, questionnaire. It is vital for the growth of any community to hear from those within it, and it is vital that as a team we listen. No idea is bad, but we are looking for constructive feedback which will help improve future Sim updates, and competitions, and events. You can take part by clicking this link: https://s.surveyplanet.com/Z1DzRjI3Jb Moving forward, we are planning the Winter League to start in the middle of October which gives us time to read the survey replies before any rules, and the structure, are in place. We are also going to trial some different types of events which are ad-hoc between now and the winter league. These include time trial events, and quick-fly events here is more about them: Time Trial: Here we plan to ask members of the community to build a track, which once meets the criteria will be open Thursday to Thursday. You will have 5 attempts to post your fastest time. The Leader-Board will be open for everyone to see on the Tiny Whoop Website. The top 12 will be invited to qualify for the main race on the Friday, where the fastest 8 pilots will take part in 4 rounds of 3 laps. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Prizes may be available. The 4 pilots will be invited back on the Saturday to race with the those that finished 13th to 16th on the Time Trial Leader-board. The fastest 8 from the qualifying will move on to the 4 rounds of 3 laps. NOTE: Although these are currently the idea the structure may chance once we have had some test events. Quick-Fly: Here a track is created by TinyWhoop, and open 90 minutes, followed by a qualifying lap, and the top 8 go though to race 4 rounds of 3 laps. Prizes are given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. NOTE: Although these are currently the idea the structure may chance once we have had some test events. We are also very keen on holding some international events with the best pilots from the USA, Canada, France, Philippians, and the UK. These will include events such as the ones named above and will be held during the weekend at different times throughout the day, depending on timezones. I hope you are as excited as we are of what is to come, but of course it is only possible thanks to you, the pilots. Your input is important so please do take 5 minutes to complete the survey. We are currently working on bringing all social media online for TinyWhoop, which is where all information, live streaming, and videos will be found. This includes Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, & Twitch. Once completed we will send another quick email out with the relevant links. Many thanks. Lazy
